Charalampos (Babis) Avramidis
Charalampos (Babis) Avramidis is the Founder & CEO of POD Professional Solutions, a consulting and recruitment firm that helps international companies establish subsidiaries, build teams, and scale operations in Greece with precision and confidence.
Born and raised in Munich, Germany, he brings a unique dual perspective: German structure and discipline combined with Greek adaptability and market knowledge. Fluent in German, English, and Greek, Babis acts as a trusted partner for multinationals entering Greece from Europe, the DACH region, the US, and Asia. Before founding POD, he successfully launched the Greek operations of a U.S. multinational BPO company, serving as the first employee on the ground. He managed both the entity setup and the operational launch of key client projects. Within just 2.5 months, he had hired the entire management and director team, laying the foundation for scalable growth. Over the following three years, he recruited more than 500 employees to support international clients, including the establishment of customer experience operations for a major telecom provider in Germany. At the same time, he secured and delivered a large-scale ticketing system project in the transport industry, proving his ability to diversify operations across sectors.
Earlier in his career, he held a strategic leadership role in customer operations for a leading European telecom group, directing teams of more than 700 agents and contributing to the rollout of approximately 10 regional hubs across Greece. This experience gave him a first-hand understanding of how to scale teams, drive KPIs, and execute large expansion strategies with measurable results.
Alongside his leadership in BPO and recruitment, Babis built strong expertise in the healthcare sector. As co-founder of Podiatry Medicare, a specialized podiatry center of healthcare interest, he oversaw the full process from licensing and compliance to facility setup and team management. Today, Podiatry Medicare is also a platform for the development of therapeutic podiatry products, combining clinical practice with innovation and with the potential to scale beyond Greece into European healthcare markets.
Babis also contributes academically as a guest lecturer at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, teaching in Executive Master HR programs and sharing practical insights on recruitment strategy, executive search, and HR technology with working professionals and future leaders. He holds an MBA in Business Organization & Management from the same university, reinforcing his ability to bridge theory with hands-on execution.
